Symbols Of Hope v2.2

Zarura Creative today released Symbols Of Hope v2.2, the latest evolution of our editorial case study exploring a modern visual identity framework for Zimbabwe.

Originally conceived as an exercise in national symbolism, Symbols Of Hope has grown into a broader exploration of how design can strengthen clarity, cohesion, and public trust across civic institutions. The project reimagines Zimbabwe’s national symbols while proposing a unified identity system capable of functioning across digital services, government communications, civic applications, and physical infrastructure.

Version 2.2 introduces the most comprehensive update to the project to date.

Among the additions is a complete national number plate system, establishing a unified framework for civilian, commercial, diplomatic, legislative, security, defence, and presidential vehicles. The system introduces shared national markers including the Zimbabwe Bird, ZW country identifier, Republic of Zimbabwe national designation, and digital verification layer, while using colour as a clear institutional language.

The release also introduces PREZIM, a constitutional identifier developed for the Office of the President. Inspired by conventions such as PM and POTUS, PREZIM names the office rather than the individual occupying it, reinforcing the permanence of institutions over personalities.

Beyond the number plate system, v2.2 further refines the project’s unified identity framework, reinforcing a central belief that national identity succeeds when it moves beyond symbolism alone and becomes part of everyday public life.
